| F.A.Q. on Visiting Can I visit my child?
Occasionally we plan trips to our locations to assist our ministry teams, update our child reports, take applications for new children who may be eligible to participate in our program and to help in the day-to-day operations of our foreign ministries. When trips are planned and if there is space available, our sponsors are notified and are invited to join us in our trip.
If you are interested in visiting your child, please be sure to let us know so we can coordinate our trips to accommodate you and others who may be interested in visiting their sponsored child.
Visiting your child on a non-Give2GiveHope trip is not permitted.
How much does it cost to visit my child?
The costs for trips will vary depending on length of stay, location visited, accommodations, etc. Typically the trips are 6 days in-country with a day of travel on each side and start at $1050 per person based on departure location.
What services are included?
Round-trip airfare from a Continental US location to our foreign mission, round-trip transportation from the airport to our local facility, food and lodging during your stay, and translation services are typically provided on our trips.
Things you may want to think about which are NOT included in our trip services are things like immunizations, passport fees, souvenirs, sight-seeing side trips, etc.
Visiting a needy child in a foreign country is a life-changing experience, and we try to make this experience as comfortable for all our trip team while still being realistic that accommodations in foreign countries are very different from the US.
Are translators provided?
We make every attempt to include translation services when planning a trip with group translators. If you require a personal translator, that can be arranged, but the cost of this will be reflected in the trip fees. |
